Kathleen Ann Schnell, age 66 of Celestine, Indiana, passed away at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday (November 13, 2012) Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born August 13, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to Roman and Marie (Sander) Gadlage. She married Donald O. Schnell May 27, 1967 in St. Celestine Catholic Church, Celestine, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2004.

Kate graduated from the Forest Park High School in Ferdinand Class of 1964.

Kathleen was a homemaker and member of St. Celestine Catholic Church and the St. Ann’s Society.

Her hobbies were cross-word puzzles, cross stitching and reading.

  • Scott Schnell and spouse Julie, Santa Claus, IN

Two grandchildren; Jason and Brandon.

  • Mrs. John (Christine) Kluemper, Jasper, IN
  • Mrs. Bryan (Mary Sue) Bledsoe, Pennsylvania

Two brothers,

  • Bernard Gadlage, Celestine, IN
  • David Gadlage, Ocala, FL

Preceding her in death besides her husband is a granddaughter, Katelynne Hammersley and her quintuplets siblings.

Funeral services for Kathleen Schnell will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (November 17, 2012) in St. Celestine Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Celestine Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday (November 16, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Celestine Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
