Karla S. Armstrong, 70

Karla S. Armstrong, 70, of Winslow, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015, in Memorial Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born at Washington, Indiana on June 9, 1945 to Warren and Louise (Littell) Knochenmus. She married Paul David Armstrong on May 31, 1985 in Jasper.

She graduated from Vincennes School of Nursing earning her LPN degree and retired from Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center where she worked in Obstetrics and Gynecology for 23 years.

She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Paul David Armstrong of Winslow; daughters, Christina Hopf of Winslow, Teresa Hopf and husband Dave of Dubois, Kim Johnson and companion Daniel Schneider of Madeira Beach, Fla. and Lisa Reed and husband James of Petersburg; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Kerry Knochenmus PHD and wife Brenda of Louisville, Ky.; sister, Karen Dembo of Florida.

Preceding her in death besides her parents are a granddaughter Payton Hopf.

Funeral services for Karla Armstrong will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Ireland, Indiana. The Rev. Roy Stillwell will officiate.
