Karen S. Hoffman, 55, of Schnellville

Karen S. Hoffman, 55, of Schnellville, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
Karen was born in Jasper on May 14, 1960, to Herbert O. “Boots” and Mary Ann (Hoffman) Schwenk. She married Daron Hoffman on January 14, 1995 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana.
Karen was a 1978 graduate of Jasper High School. She worked at Leed’s Selling Tools for over 30 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and canning. She was a very social person and enjoyed spending time with her children, family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Daron Hoffman of Schnellville; one daughter, Kaitlyn Hoffman of Schnellville; two sons, Nicholas Hoffman and Tanner Hoffman, both of Schnellville; five sisters, Marilyn “Toot” Schwenk of Ireland, Janet Kordes and her husband Mark of Jasper, Debbie Schwenk of Ireland, Shelly Main and her husband Roy of Ireland and Jody Verkamp and her husband Nathan of Jasper; five brothers, Michael J. Schwenk and his wife Debbie of Ireland, Ronald Schwenk and his wife Diane of Ireland, Tim Schwenk and his wife Donna of Ireland, Mark Schwenk and his wife Karen of Jasper and Keith Schwenk of Ireland.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Herbert O. “Boots” and Mary Ann Schwenk, one sister, Ruth Waller, and one brother, David Schwenk.
Funeral services for Karen S. Hoffman will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016, at Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.
