Karen Kuntz, 68, Fulda

Karen Kuntz, 68, of Fulda, passed away on March 4, 2026. She was born on March 11, 1957, in Tell City, Ind., to Carl and Martha Flamion.

Karen was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda, Indiana. She retired from MasterBrand Cabinets in March of 2022 after many years of dedicated service.

On August 12, 1978, she was united in marriage to Charles W. Kuntz at Saint Isidore Catholic Church, and together they shared many years of love and family life.

Karen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always placed family first. She especially cherished her role as a grandmother and found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. Beyond family, Karen loved traveling with family, attending concerts with friends, cheering on Indiana Hoosiers sports, watching Westerns, and truly living life to the fullest. Her warm spirit, love of laughter, and appreciation for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Martha Flamion; her husband, Charles W. Kuntz; and her sisters, Phylis Sibrel and Joan Franklin.

Karen is survived by her children, Andrea Dunn and her husband, Chris, of Owensboro, Ky., Amy Freeman and her husband, Cory, of Corydon, and Adam Kuntz and his wife, Stephanie, of Ferdinand; her beloved grandchildren, Marissa Freeman, Mason Freeman, Micah Freeman, Colton Kuntz, Gunner Kuntz, Jordan Mitchell, and Tyler Mitchell; her siblings, Rita Hagman, Joseph Flamion, Michael Flamion, Eugene Flamion, Jane Seifert, Carla Cooper, and Joyce Schmitt.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CT in St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 3 to 7 p.m. CT at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and also on Thursday at St. Boniface Church from 9:00 a.m. CT until time of services. 

Karen’s love for her family, her joyful presence, and her zest for life will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
