Karen F. Chambers, 57, of English, passed away at 8:55 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2020, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. 

Karen was born in Jasper on May 28, 1963, to Don and Lou Ann (Lorey) Collins. She married Rick Chambers on April 5, 1985, in St. John’s Catholic Church in Loogootee.

Karen was a 1981 graduate of Jasper High School. She was a retired licensed daycare provider. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching hummingbirds, and taking pictures of her wildflowers and sunsets. 

She is survived by her husband Rick Chambers of English; three children, Joseph (Lauren) Chambers of Ireland, Kari (LB) Boeglin of St. Anne, Ill., Kaleb Chambers and companion, Whittney Huff, of Holland; five grandsons, Brentley Chambers, LT Boeglin, Hunter Chambers, Greyson Boeglin, and River Chambers; one granddaughter, Blake Boeglin; her parents, Don and Lou Ann Collins of Jasper; one sister, Kathy (Greg) Schmitt of Ireland and Dan (Nancy) Collins of Jasper.   

Preceding her in death is one nephew, Dean Collins. 

A Mass of Christian Burial for Karen F. Chambers will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2020, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center.
