Karen Blowers, 73 (updated with Celebration of Life information)
Karen Blowers passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, with family at her side.

Karen is survived by her long-time and wonderful partner, Jim Grant; her children, Kristen Sherman, Laura Leinenbach and Zachary Hill. She had seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved being their Nanna. She’s also survived by her bonus parents, Barb and Ray Mitchell; siblings, Bridget (Mike) Murray and Lynn (Tony) Berger; Jenny; many nieces and nephews and cousins and friends. She will be missed.
Karen was born to Jerry and Cordelia Corn. She attended Winslow School and participated in cheerleading, Pompom Girls. She played piano, twirled the baton, liked sewing and crafts and was an avid reader. Karen loved to cook, and we loved to eat her cooking.
She loved the great outdoors and enjoyed her flowers and birds. Especially the “Pterodactyl”!
Karen asked to be cremated and returned to the earth beneath a favorite tree.
May she rest, always, ’neath the shady tree.
Those who passed before her were her late husbands, Steve Hill and Rob Blowers, her beloved mamma, Helen Evans Richardson, her parents, Deedee and Jerry Corn, her brother, David Corn, Nathaniel and Mabel Corn.
A special thank you to Kristen Sherman for her unwavering support and loving care of her mother.
A Celebration of Life for Karen Blowers will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Holland Park at the big shelter house.
