Karel Lee Abell, 69, Jasper

Karel Lee Abell, 69, of Jasper, passed away June 30, 2022, in Newburgh.

She was born June 14, 1953, to Robert Lee and Emma Grace (Swartsfager) Case in Mt. Carmel, Ill.

She worked for many years as an office manager for Providence Home Healthcare.

She married her husband, Rex Abell, on July 2, 2004.

She was a proud member of the Cavalry Apostolic Church in Jasper, IN and sang for the Clyde Ross Band.

Karel is survived by her husband, Rex Abell; stepdaughter, Vanessa (Steven) Landstrom; grandchildren, Addalyn, Maddalyn, Waylan, Wyatt, and Samuel; brother, James (Shari) Case; and sister-in-law, Lana Case.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Patrick Case.

Services for Karel will take place at 2 p.m. EST on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg with visitation from 12 PM until service time. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery/ White River Chapel in Bowman.
