Junior C. Popp, age 84, of Haysville, passed away at 7:20 p.m., Monday (July 29, 2013) at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand, IN.

Junior was born in Portersville, Indiana on March 30, 1929 to Ludwig and Arnetta (Harder) Popp. He married Margaret “Marge” Fischer on February 21, 1957 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana.

Junior was an Army Veteran who served in Germany during the Korean War. He worked for Breidenbaugh Concrete in Jasper, from which he retired after many years of service.

He was a member of the Christian Church of Jasper.

He enjoyed working outdoors, traveling, and working on old cars.

Preceding Junior in death was one sister, Gladys Popp

Funeral services for Junior Popp will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (August 2, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. Pastor Darrel Land will officiate. The VFW Post #673 will conduct military gravesite rites.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, (August 1, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
