June Hart, 78

June Hart, 78, of Cannelburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2015 at her home.

She was born on June 17, 1936 to the late Warner and Sadie (Spaulding) Mullen.

On June 26, 1954 she married Pius Hart and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2014.

June was a 1954 graduate of St. John High School. She was a teacher’s assistant at Barr-Reeve Elementary School for over 30 years and co-managed the family farm with her husband, Pius. Her passion in life was teaching and raising her children. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Cannelburg, All Saints Alter Society and was a Eucharistic Minister.

She was first a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. June loved being with her family and friends, playing cards, shopping, traveling, walking, cooking, dancing and collecting angels.

June is survived by sons, Raymond Hart and Dennis Hart both of Cannelburg; daughters, Kathy Hart of Fishers and Sharon (Bill) Gates of Bloomington; grandchildren, Emma, Luke and Maggie Gates; great-grandchild, Kalel Idewu; sisters, Virginia (the late Bill) Cooper of Loogootee, Ann McAtee (John) of Loogootee, and Rita McAtee (Joe) of Plainfield; brother, Patrick (Linda) Mullen of Jasper.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Pius Hart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at All Saints Catholic Church in Cannelburg, Indiana. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana.
