Judith Ann Roos, 68

Judith Ann Roos passed away on the evening of May 21st, 2014, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Judy was born November 29th, 1945 to Carl and Helen (Wanninger) Roos in Dale, Indiana.

She was a faithful servant who spent her life doing God’s work. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where she was on the Parish Council, a Eucharistic minister and a lector. She also received the Brute Award. She was director of the North Spencer Community Action Center for many years prior to her retirement and had previously worked on her father and brother’s farm.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Mary Alice Roos; her sister, Joanne Tuggle; nephew Michael Tuggle; and great-nephews Charlie John Tuggle and Eli Roos.

She is survived by four brothers and four sisters. Bill Roos (Therese) of Dale, Leo Roos (Ruth) of Ferdinand, Ruth Mendel (Dave) of Dale, Linda Ebert (Sylvan) of Greenwood, Ind., Edward Roos of St Henry, David Roos of Dale, Mary Guth (Jay) of Dale and Debra Roos- Meny (Kevin) Santa Claus. Also, 18 nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for Monday May 26 at 10AM CT at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday, May 25, from 4-8 p.m. CST, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dale.

Memorial Contributions may be made to North Spencer Community Action Center or St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
