Judith Ann McCarty, 82, Jasper

Judith Ann McCarty, 82, of Jasper, passed away at 7:34 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at home surrounded by family.

Judy was born in Huntingburg on April 7, 1942, to Marion and Dorothy (Fleck) Tabor. 

She married Robert McCarty in Jasper, Indiana on July 24, 1981.

She was a graduate of Ireland High School.

She was co-owner, along with her husband, of Robert McCarty Photography.

She was a member of the Tri-Kappa Sorority, Jasper Duplicate Bridge Club, and the Professional Photographers of Indiana.  She was also very active in the Jasper Friends of the Arts.

Judy was an avid card player and was a Life Master in Bridge and loved to cook, bake, travel, and spend time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Robert McCarty of Jasper; four children, Lisa (Monty) Woolsey, Kurt (Tracy) Lorey, Kari (Clint) Child, and Michael (Jerry) McCarty; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is one brother, Charles Tabor and one son, Daniel McCarty.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation for Judith A. McCarty will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
