Juanita D. Hagemeyer, 85, Stendal

Juanita D. Hagemeyer, 85, of Stendal, passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

She was born November 13, 1932, in Stendal to Benjamin and Mary (Egbert) Butke. She married Maurice Hagemeyer on November 5, 1954, in Stendal.

Juanita was a homemaker, teacher and postal worker. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and the Southern Bells Homemakers Club.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Austin Butke and sister, Dorothy Cannon.

Juanita is survived by her husband, Maurice Hagemeyer of Stendal; three children, Gwenn (Edward) Laughlin of Holland, Jeff (Debbie) Hagemeyer of Ferdinand, and Jennifer (Dr. John) Myers of Evansville; two brothers, Reuben Butke of Stendal and Gerald Cannon of Centerville, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Juanita Hagemeyer will be held at 10:00 a.m. EST on Monday, February 26, 2018, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Stendal with burial to follow at St. Peters Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Pastor Ed Wicks will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 25 and also at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Monday, prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
