Joypowered author to speak at upcoming WEW event

Women Empowering Women is hosting author Denise McGonigal on Wednesday, December 12, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Center, 1029 Kundek St., Jasper.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. before the meeting begins at 11:45 a.m. The meeting will continue until 12:45 p.m.

McGonigal co-authored “JoyPowered Family.” She will speak on the power of joy, and share experiences and stories on how to embrace the many faces of joy — in celebration and sorrow, work and play, calm and chaos.  Her presentation will encourage families to discover and harness the power of their strengths in making joy happen around them.

Her book will be available for purchase after the meeting.

Reservations are required by December 7 and can be made by calling the Jasper Chamber of Commerce at 812-482-6866 or emailing chamber@jasperin.org. The cost for lunch is $5 per person and is payable at the door.
