Joseph S. Ingle, age 83, of Birdseye, passed away at 8:20 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2012 at his residence in Birdseye.

He was born June 30, 1928 in Birdseye, Indiana to Joseph and Anna (Brady) Ingle. Joe was employed by and retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Indianapolis. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by: three half-brothers – John Choate, Albert Choate and Ezra Eckert; and two half-sisters, Viola Eckert and Violet Dillard.

He is survived by:

One sister, Leotta Atkins – Huntingburg, IN

His twin brother, Junis (spouse: Ida) Ingle – Camby, IN

One half-sister, Edna Norman – Indianapolis, IN

and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Joseph S. Ingle will be held at 1:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye, Indiana. The V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites. The Rev. Albert Madden will officiate the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to: VistaCare Hospice or The Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center.
