Joseph E Clinard, 94, Petersburg

Joseph E Clinard passed away on July 3, 2024, at Amber Manor Care Center with his wife by his side.

Joseph was born May 3, 1930, to Edward and Maude Shoultz Clinard in Mecca, Indiana.

Joseph took great pride in his family, especially his wife of 76 years, Anna Mae Brock, whom he married on July 3, 1948. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 70 years and also a member of the Operating Engineers Local 181 for over 50 years.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Eugene Cinard, sisters, Mary Louise Stafford and Rosalie Like, and a daughter-in-law, Sharon. 

Joseph is survived by his wife, two sons, John and Jim (Cindy), four grandchildren, Kyle (Renee) Clinard, Libby Worland and Hal, Jamie (Stephen) Kessen, and Abby (Heath) Briggeman; six great-grandchildren, Baleigh, Kendall, Caleb, Ava, Kyson and Kaelyn; one step-great-grandchild, Olivia Adams; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Services will take place at noon on Monday, July 8, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Pastor Gary Arnold will be officiating and burial will follow at Hamline Chapel Cemetery in Monroe City, Indiana.
