Jonathan Alcantar-Ramirez, 21, Huntingburg

Jonathan Alcantar-Ramirez, 21, of Huntingburg, passed away at 5:14 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2018, in an auto accident on Interstate 64 near Lynnville.

He was born May 13, 1997, in Tarandacuao, Guanajuato, Mexico.

Jonathan was a student at Vincennes University Jasper Campus. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed soccer and working with computers.

He is survived by his parents, Raul Alcantar and Maria Ramirez Garcia; two brothers and one sister, Alexis Alcantar, Raul Alcantar, and Maria Guadalupe; and four grandparents, J. Carmelo Ramirez, Leopoldo Alcantar, Alicia Garcia, and Lorenza Sandoval, all of Huntingburg.

Funeral services for Jonathan Alcantar-Ramirez will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018. A parish rosary prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
