Johnny Ray Sullivan, 71

Johnny Ray Sullivan, 71, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 8:03 p.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at St. Charles Healthcare Center in Jasper.

Johnny was born in St. Meinrad, Indiana, on October 3, 1942 to Lawrence F. and Leona (Whipking) Sullivan. His wife, Bonnie (Mathies) Sullivan preceded him in death in July, 1991. Also preceding him in death are two daughters, Samantha Blades and Jo Anne Sullivan; three brothers, Edgar and Ronald Sullivan and infant Arthur Leroy Sullivan; and three sisters, Mary Smith, Ruth Mathies and infant Esther June Sullivan.

He is survived by three daughters, Tina Gehlhausen of Cissna Park, Ill., Jennifer Ornduff, and Leslie Sullivan of Huntingburg; two brothers, Richard Sullivan of West Baden and Clyde Sullivan of Rising Sun, Ind.; two sisters, Christina Hawkins of Huntingburg and Rosetta Cravens of Birdseye; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Johnny Sullivan will be held at 2:00 p.m., EST, on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.

David Wayne Mathies will officiate at the service. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail.
