John Thomas Phipps, 32

John Thomas Phipps, age 32, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away Friday morning, January 13, 2012 at his residence in New Albany.

He was born November 22, 1979 in Louisville, Kentucky to Peter and Carrie (Gerlach) Phipps. John worked as a site supervisor for ResCare in Jeffersonville. He was a diehard U.K. fan; enjoyed hunting and four wheeling; was a Call of Duty video game enthusiast; and was a dedicated father, brother and son. He was preceded in death by: his father, Peter Phipps, who died June 2, 2009; and one brother, Jason Phipps.

He is survived by:

Funeral services for John Phipps will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Tuesday, January 17th at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery near Ireland, Indiana. The Rev. Darrel Land will officiate the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 12:00-8:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Monday.
