John Roger Frick, 62, Huntingburg

John Roger Frick, 62, of Huntingburg, passed away on Thursday, March 12, at home after a brief illness.

He was born on June 4, 1957, in Huntingburg, to Frederick and Mary (Davidson) Frick.

John’s love for people was evident in every area of his life.  As the proprietor of Master Carpet Cleaning for 40 years his customers were also his friends. Whether it was restoring a cuckoo clock or upholstering a boat or a plane, John was a craftsman, a perfectionist who had honed his skill.  He was an outdoorsman as well. He enjoyed boating out on a lake, skiing down mountains and taking in the view below from his recreational pilot’s seat.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he regularly gave of his time throughout his life to teach others the truths he had learned from the Bible as well as volunteered his construction expertise for projects locally, in the States, the Philippines and Columbia. Those who knew him well will remember not only his recognizable laugh but also his kindness and willingness to help whenever he saw a need. He leaves many friends behind.

John is survived by his wife, Stacie Frick of Huntingburg; two stepsons, Tyler Lewis (Brittany) of Bedford and Trace Coulter of Huntingburg; his mother, Mary Frick of Kalamazoo, Michigan; five brothers, Michael (Julie), Allen (Lynn), David (Kris), Darryl (Kay), and Mark (Brenda) Frick; one sister, Melinda (Jon) Shannon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Frick; first wife, Katherine Frick; and second wife, Julia Frick.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday, March 20, 2020.  A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Boonville.
