John R. Mehringer, 61, Jasper
John R. Mehringer, 61, of Jasper, passed away at 8:01 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.
He worked in construction and carpentry most of his life. He enjoyed working outside, gardening, and watching the sunset.
He is survived by three daughters, Tammy Barkley (Al) of Huntingburg, Amber Skinner(Bryce) of Logan, Utah and April Clark (Gene) of Holland; one son, Shawn Mehringer of Huntingburg; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, George Mehringer (Clara) and Ed Mehringer (Karen), both of Jasper; four sisters, Lillian Thimling (Robert) of Jasper, Lou Wells (Gary) of Jasper, Helen Holtkamp (Vincent) of Luray, Mo. and Frances Hartford (Dan) Lyle of Washington.
Preceding him in death was his companion Sharon Lawson; his parents; one brother, Roman Mehringer; and two siblings who died in infancy.
Private services were held at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home in Jasper.
