John M. Fuhs, 56, Dubois

John M. Fuhs, 56, of Dubois, passed away at 9:37 a.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2020, in Deaconess Gateway in Evansville. 

John was born in Jasper on June 5, 1964, to James and Marcella (Norris) Fuhs. 

John was a 1982 graduate of Jasper High School. He previously worked at Kimball Upholstery, Jasper Engines as the Show Car Coordinator, owner of BJ’s and Moore in Dubois, Indiana, and most recently the owner of  J and J Lawn Care. He was a member of St. Isidore Parish – St. Raphael’s Catholic Church and the Jasper Baseball Hall of Fame. 

He enjoyed baseball and softball, and playing cards, especially poker. 

He is survived by his companion of over 20 years, Dee Ann Hall of Dubois; two sisters, Kathy (Ken) Sander of Jasper and Donna (Myron) Temple of Jasper; two brothers, Jim Fuhs Jr. (companion, Karen) of Indianapolis and Joe (Faye) Fuhs of Jasper; several nieces and nephews. 

Preceding him in death are his parents. 

A funeral service for John M. Fuhs will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. Fr. Jeff Read will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
