John Keith Schurz, 80, Huntingburg

John Keith Schurz, 80, of Huntingburg, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

He was born October 7, 1936, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Karl and Mary Lee (Robling) Schurz.

John served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1958, was a law enforcement officer, and a member of the Northside Christian Church in Huntingburg.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry (Patty) Schurz of Huntingburg; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda (Hub) Mundy of Huntingburg; and by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. EDT Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Northside Christian Church in Huntingburg with burial following at Mayo Cemetery near Duff. Minister Ron Frazier will officiate at the service. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. 2366 Memorial Detail.

Friends may call for visitation at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Friday morning. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
