John Cougar Mellencamp tribute band to rock Astra to support Anderson Woods

American Fools Band, a John Cougar Mellencamp tribute band, will be in concert at the Astra on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025. Proceeds of the event will benefit Anderson Woods. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Anderson Woods was founded in 1978 as a not-for-profit corporation chartered to provide summer camp experiences, as well as other services, for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. They operate a summer camp on 165 acres in Perry County, welcoming hundreds of campers of all ages and disabilities who sleep in four cabins each summer. They aim to provide self-confidence, dignity, and choices for persons with disabilities.

American Fools Band is a highly regarded tribute band formed by residents of Mellencamp’s hometown of Seymour, Indiana. They specialize in recreating the artist’s performances from 1979 to 1994 and are now managed by Mellencamp’s former manager.
