JoAnn Smith, 81, Jasper

JoAnn Smith, 81, Jasper, and formerly of Anderson, Ind., passed away at 7:41 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at her home.

She was born at Dubois, Indiana on July 29, 1934 to Leo and Emma (Kempf) Greive. She was married Glenn Smith and he preceded her in death in January 28, 2003.

JoAnn was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

She is survived by her caregiver and niece, Rhonda and Greg Uebelhor of Ferdinand; nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are two sisters, Evelyn Neukam and Mary Ann Serles, three brothers, Bernard, Hilbert and James Greive.

Funeral services for JoAnn Smith will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at Anderson, Ind.

Friends may call one hour before services on Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.
