Jo Ann M. Horney, 66

Jo Ann M. Horney, age 66, of Jasper, passed away at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013, at her home.

She was born in Ferdinand, Indiana August 10, 1946 to Herbert and Mary Ann (Loew) Schipp. She married Tom Horney September 30, 1967 in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

She was a graduate of Ferdinand High School Class 1964.

Jo Ann worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company for 16 years and retired from Southern Hill Counseling Center in Jasper.

She loved working in her flower garden and reading.

Alice Messmer and husband Paul, Ferdinand, IN

Five grandchildren, Jesse, Justin, Trevor, Jordan and Tori.

Preceding her in death are two sisters, Evelyn Wetzel and Rita M. Burke.

Funeral services for Jo Ann Horney will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (June 26, 2013), in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday (June 25, 2013), at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, Dubois County Museum, St. Joseph Catholic Church or Vincennes Old Cathedral Library.
