Jerry R. Schickel, 77

Jerry R. Schickel, age 77, a resident of The Providence Home Health Care Center in Jasper, formerly of Holland, Indiana, passed away at 6:40 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born September 13, 1935 in Evansville, Indiana to Alvin and Edna (Niehaus) Schickel. Jerry was a retired factory worker. He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one brother, Kenneth Schickel.

He is survived by:

Jan Schickel of Washington, IN

Jeff Schickel of Linton, IN

One sister,

Judith A. Buse of Holland, IN

And by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Jerry R. Schickel will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T., Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Augustana Cemetery in Holland. Pastor Debbie Roe will officiate the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 12:00(noon)-2:00p.m., Monday, the day of the funeral.
