Jerry Norman Bauer, 77, Big Rock, Tenn.

Mr. Jerry Norman Bauer, 77, of Big Rock, Tenn., passed away, Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Diversicare of Dover.

He was born January 30, 1943 in Indiana, son of the late Elmer John and Anna Marie Hembree Bauer.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Patricia Jean Barber Bauer; loving children, Jeffrey Bauer of Tennessee, Carol Townsend of Greenbrier, Tenn., Deanna Bauer of Big Rock, Tenn., and Jera Coburn of Dover, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jake (Megan), Josh, and Justin Townsend, and Holden Coburn; great-grandson, Levi Townsend, and expected great-granddaughter, Abigale Townsend.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Bauer and Kenneth Bauer, as well as an infant brother and sister.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Monday, October 19, 2020 at Becher-Kluesner North Chapel, 3221 N. Newton Street in Jasper with Pastor Jake Townsend officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Dubois. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends of Mr. Bauer will be serving as pallbearers.
