Jerry Denton, 76

Jerry Denton, age 76, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 11:25 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his residence.

He was born July 17, 1937 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Coleman and Louise (McDaniel) Denton. Jerry was a retired salesman and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing and hunting; and loved playing cards. He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Pete Denton and Jack Denton; and one sister, Colleen Harkins.

He is survived by:

Donnie Denton of Lynnville, IN

Cole Denton of Indianapolis, IN

Two daughters,

Shannon Stone of Petersburg, IN

Jodi Michelle Deckard of Nashville, TN

One sister and brother-in-law,

Rita (Don) Dotterweich of Huntingburg, IN

and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services for Jerry Denton will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. The V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.
