Jerry Allen Fuchs, 55

Jerry Allen Fuchs, 55, of Dale, passed away Monday July 8, 2013 at his home.

He was born January 9, 1958 at Huntingburg to Robert and Leona (Kern) Fuchs.

Jerry was a farmer and a truck driver. He supplied hogs to numerous county fairs throughout Indiana for hog wrestling events. He also enjoyed showing Simmental cattle and won Tennessee State grand champion two years in a row with his bull. Jerry also enjoyed tug of wars.

Jerry is survived by his son, Jason Allen Fuchs of Elberfield; a daughter, Jamie Fuchs of Lynnville; his companion, Denise Meyer of Mariah Hill; four brothers, Clarence Fuchs and wife Rita of Ferdinand, Dan Fuchs of Dale, Tom Fuchs of Owensboro and Bob Fuchs of Mariah Hill, and one sister, Polly Wagner and husband Ralph of Ferdinand. Jerry was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Fuchs and also by both parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. CDT and Thursday from 7-9:30 a.m. CDT at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. CDT at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dale with burial to follow in the Dale Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
