Jeremy “J” Edele, 40, St. Henry

Jeremy “J” Edele, 40, St. Henry, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the I.U. Health Downtown Medical Center in Indianapolis.
He was born April 20, 1976, in Huntingburg to Michael E. and Glenda (Fischer) Edele.
Jeremy graduated from Southridge High School in the Class of 1994. He proudly served overseas in the United States Army as an SPC during the Gulf War. He worked as a landscaper at Family Roots Nursery. He was an avid golfer, a Colts fan and loved spending time with his son, Gavin.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cyril Edele, Irma Fischer and Othmar DeMuth; uncles, John Edele and Jim Hastings; and aunt, Phyllis Fischer.
He is survived by his 14-year-old son, Gavin Edele of Huntingburg; his parents, Michael E. and Glenda Edele of St. Henry; a sister and brother-in-law, Angela (Derek) Blair of Georgetown, Ind.; his grandparents, Dorothy DeMuth of St. Henry and Frank Fischer, Sr. of Ferdinand; his nephew, Aaron Blair of Greenwood, Ind.; and by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Jeremy “J” Edele will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016, at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry, Indiana with burial to follow at the St. Henry Cemetery. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jack Durcholz. The Holland American Legion Memorial Detail will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call for visitation at St. Henry Catholic Church from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, the morning of the funeral. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. All visitation will be held at the church the morning of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to The Disabled American Veterans chapter #77 of Dubois County.
