Jeffrey W. Huls, 49, Loogootee

Jeffrey W. Huls, 49, of Loogootee, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at the Interlake State Recreation Area in Lynnville.

Jeff was born in Jasper on March 26, 1969, to Darryl and Sara (Leinenbach) Huls. He married Rachel Schneider-Heim on November 1, 2016, in New Orleans.

Jeff was a graduate of the IU Kelley School of Business and was a third generation co-owner and proprietor of Dubois County Title Co., Inc in Jasper.

He enjoyed motorcycle and dirt bike riding, hiking, traveling and was devoted to his family and friends. He was an adventurous soul.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Huls of Loogootee; his son, Turner Huls and stepdaughter, Meredith Heim, both at home; mother, Sara Pearson (Richard) of Jasper; father, Darryl Huls (LeAnne) of Jasper; sister, Kim Racey (Rod White) of Jasper.

A Celebration of Life Memorial for Jeffrey W. Huls will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Calumet Lake Pavilion in Jasper.
