Jeff Gilliland, 65, Otwell

Jeff Gilliland, 65, of Otwell, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born on February 13, 1959, to Carolyn (Patton) and Jack Gilliland, both of whom preceded him in death, and his stepmother, Velma.

Jeff retired from Solar Sources after working as a heavy equipment operator at various local mines over the years. He was a member of the Hadi Shrine, a former member of Jefferson Twp Volunteer FD, and an NRA member.

He is survived by Uncle Dan and Aunt Marie Gilliland; cousins Janie, Glenda, Jean, Judy and Kathy; good friends Bud, Bonnie and Ryan Cummings, Bob Knepp; and his beloved dogs, Miner and Little Girl.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana, with burial to follow at McClure Cemetery, Pastor Gary Arnold officiating. 

Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.
