Jeff C. Vonderheide, 61

Jeff C. Vonderheide, 61, of Birdseye, passed away at 9:48 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

Jeff was born in Norfolk, Virginia on October 11, 1953 to Charles and Joan (Schnell) Vonderheide. He married Vicki McKinney on June 23, 1973 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville.

Jeff was a employed by the Laborer’s Union Local #561 in Evansville.

He enjoyed fishing, University of Louisville Basketball, his dog Romeo, disc golf, playing games, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Vonderheide of Birdseye; four daughters, Angie Myers and husband Josh of Celestine, Erika Gehlhausen and husband Kevin of Schnellville, Sarah Felker and husband Jason of Taswell and
Clara Vonderheide of Huntingburg; father, Charles Vonderheide of Birdseye;  brother, Joe Vonderheide of Birdseye; two sisters, Jane Schnell and husband Ted of Schnellville and Jean Bockelman and husband Mark of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, Tristen and Ethan Myers; Hailei and Kenlee Gehlhausen; Seth, Jayden, Brycie and Sophie Felker, and Fiona Vonderheide.

Preceding him in death was one son, Seth Vonderheide; and his mother, Joan Vonderheide.

Funeral services for Jeff Vonderheide will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, with burial to follow at a later date. The Pastor Albert Madden will officiate.

Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel and again from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
