Jeanette Ann Hoing, 77
Jeanette Ann Hoing, age 77, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 6:45 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at her residence.
She was born February 8, 1936 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Earl and Mary “Toots” (Zink) Reese. Jean married Robert “Hoot” Hoing on April 24, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.
She retired as a receptionist from D.M.I. and Jofco; and currently worked as a clerk at the Downtown Emporium in Huntingburg.
Jean was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality; was a dedicated volunteer at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg; and served on the board of the Huntingburg Housing Authority.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert “Hoot” Hoing, who died on February 10, 1996; one brother, Don Reese; one grandchild; and one great grandchild.
She is survived by:
Three daughters and three son-in-laws,

Julie (Tim) Kerstiens – Huntingburg, IN
Her friend,
John Warnsman – Huntingburg, IN
by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jeanette Hoing will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial of her cremains to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery (Huntingburg).
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-7:00 p.m., on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Leukemia Society, American Cancer Society, or The Niemann Pick Foundation.
