Jean Marie (Frermann) Jones, 87

Jean Marie (Frermann) Jones, 87, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 4:24 a.m., on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.
She was born January 18, 1927 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to John and Bertha (Schwabe) Frermann.
Jean attended and graduated high school in Louisville, Kentucky. She was united in marriage to Marvin Raymond Jones on November 22, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky; and in 2007 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Shortly after their marriage, Marvin and Jean moved to Huntingburg to raise their family. She and her husband owned and operated The Gift Shoppe in Jasper and Huntingburg for more than 21 years. Jean was a long time member of the Huntingburg United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Huntingburg and Holland Business & Professional Women and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Jones, who passed away April 3, 2008; and two brothers, Charles Frermann and William Frermann.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne (Mag) Jones of Murray, Ky.; two daughters and two son-in-laws, Sandra (Michael) Nicholson of Woodlands, Texas and Sharon (Kevin) Feeney of Peachtree Corners, Geo.; one sister, Anna Mae Pearce of New Albany; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jean Marie Jones will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST, Sunday, December 21, 2014, at the Huntingburg United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana.
Pastor Lee Campbell will officiate at the services.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-7:00 p.m. EST, Saturday; and also at the church one hour prior to the funeral service on Sunday.
