Jean Majors, 84
Jean Majors, age 84, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 9:12 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born May 6, 1927 in Boonville, Indiana to Bertram and Lena (Powers) Stanton. She was united in marriage to Bill Majors on December 13, 1954 in Shawneetown, Illinois. Jean was a longtime real estate agent representing Thieman Realty and Coldwell Banker Realty in Dubois County. She also served 12 years undefeated as a Huntingburg City Councilwoman. She was a member of the Huntingburg United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by: one brother, Jack Stanton.

Funeral services for Jean Majors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Huntingburg United Methodist Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Huntingburg. Rev. Paula Mayberry will officiate the funeral assisted by Rev. Mike Thompson.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-7:00 p.m., Monday; and also at the church prior to the funeral from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday morning.
A memorial service, conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star, will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday evening, at the funeral home.
