After the Jasper Wildcats led the game two to nothing from the second inning of Friday’s 3A State Championship game, Andrean was able to answer the challenge and score two runs in the sixth and two in the seventh.

Down two runs in the bottom of the seventh, the Cats plated another run, but with bases loaded and two outs, they weren’t able to pull off the comeback in the end.

After the game, Jasper’s Braxton Brosmer was announced as the recipient of the L.V. Phillips Mental Attitude Award for Class 3A Baseball. Braxton is the son of Jared and Alissa Brosmer and will attend Indiana Wesleyan University to play baseball and major in Accounting and Finance.
