Jasper woman charged with 3 hit-and-run accidents

Jasper police charged a Jasper woman with three misdemeanor counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

Police had been investigating three separate crashes that have occurred in the past two weeks in the area north of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in which the suspect vehicle left the scene. Those accidents involved two vehicles and a fence post.

The investigation led police to Victoria L. Jennings, 38, of a W. 14th Street apartment. When officers made contact with her, they discovered a white 2004 Pontiac Vibe with damages consistent with the damages at the three hit-and-run accidents. Jennings admitted to police she had been involved in all three crashes, according to authorities.

Total damages in all three accidents amounted to about $1,500.

Police charged Jennings with three counts of Class B misdemeanor leaving the scene of a property damage crash. The investigation is ongoing.
