Jasper woman arrested for 8 counts of credit card fraud

Jasper — Jasper police arrested 26-year-old Wendy M. Hernandez De Hernandez, of 675 Giesler Road, Apartment 412, Jasper, for eight counts of D felony Fraud and one count of D felony theft, Sunday at 5 p.m.

According to police, an investigation into Hernandez was opened by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department and Jasper Police Department after they received a complaint of a stolen credit card and fraudulent activity on the card.

Hernandez is alleged to have stolen the card and used it to make eight purchases at numerous Jasper businesses using the stolen credit card.

Police arrested Hernandez and booked her into the Dubois County Security Center at about 5:10 p.m.
