Jasper to close section of 12th Street and announces milling/paving to begin Tuesday

The Jasper Street Department will close 12th Street between Mill Street and Vine Street on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. This closure is to replace a storm sewer under the street.

Barring any unforeseen issues, the street should reopen by 4:00 p.m. the same day.

Also starting on Tuesday, the Jasper Street Department, along with Calcar Paving, will be milling the asphalt for the following streets.

  • Jackson Street from 3rd Street to River Centre Landing
  • S. Newton Street between Church Ave. and Hochgesang Ave.
  • 44th Street from U.S. 231 to Obing Strasse

Surface asphalt will be placed:

·        South Newton Street and 12th Avenue on Wednesday, August 27th

·        Jackson Street and 44th Street on Thursday, August 28th

Motorists will experience delays if traveling these streets during construction.

This schedule is subject to weather or unforeseen conditions.
