Jasper street closures and paving

The Jasper Street Department will close St. James Street at the intersection with “A” Street on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. 

Barring any unforeseen circumstance, the street will reopen by 4:00 p.m. the same day. 

This schedule is subject to weather conditions.

Also:

The Jasper Street Department, along with contractor Calcar Paving, will start asphalt milling (removal) on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the Country Club Estates Subdivision (Poplar Lane, Emily Street, 19th Street, and 20th Street east of St. Charles St.). 

Asphalt paving will start upon completion of the asphalt milling. 

This work shall continue this week or until the asphalt surface is placed. 

These streets will remain open to local traffic; however, motorists can expect delays.  This schedule is subject to weather conditions.
