Jasper Rubber adds versatile inspection equipment

Jasper Rubber recently installed a new automated vision inspection system to the Trim Department.
The new inspection system from Acquire Automation has 10 different cameras that can each be custom programmed to look for specific measurements and defects at a very high rate of speed. The inspection capabilities of this new system are amazing and can detect measurement differences within one-thousandth of an inch as parts pass under the cameras.
Jasper Rubber has other automated vision systems in use as well, but a vision system is typically designed to be used for a specific part or a family of very similar parts. This new inspection system allows parts of all shapes and sizes to be inspected. Due to the large variation of parts that can be programmed into this machine, it will continually run at capacity.
As Jasper Rubber continues to grow, this new technology provides greater efficiency and accuracy.
According to a press release from the compnay, Jasper Rubber has been part of this community for over 65 years and plans to stay around much longer into the future. Projects such as this one will help to meet the growing demands of customers while continuing to allow business levels to sustain or grow in the current manufacturing environment.
As technology continues to improve, Jasper Rubber will continue to evolve with those newer technologies making the jobs at Jasper Rubber less physical as well as helping to provide a cleaner working environment for the next generation of workers.
Improvements such as this one have been key factors in the steady climb of our stock values each year from the time Jasper Rubber became 100% employee owned, the company stated.
