Jasper Riverwalk questionable tree included in annual weird tree publication

A weird tree along the Jasper Riverwalk made the 5th annual “Invasion of the Weird Trees” booklet put out by the Department of Natural Resources.

Jasper Chamber Executive Director Nancy Eckerle submitted the “questionable” tree after Dennis Moehler brought it to Patoka 2000’s attention. Patoka 2000 is a subcommittee of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce Beautification committee.

DNR states the annual contest exemplifies trees that make the most ardent environmentalist think twice before hugging.
