Jasper police seeking witnesses of crash that sent 2 to hospital
Jasper — Jasper police are seeking witnesses of a crash that occurred at 30th and Newton streets that totaled two vehicles and sent two to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Jamie Blackburn, 45, of 450S, Paoli, was eastbound on 30th Street in a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe approaching Newton at about 4:16 p.m. Glen Sanders, 57, of East State Road 64, Birdseye, was northbound on Newton in a 2012 Kia Sorrento also approaching the intersection.
Sanders told police he had the green light for the intersection. Blackburn told police she was following traffic as it proceeded through the intersection.
Both entered the intersection and collided.
Sanders complained of pain to his head and wrist. A passenger, Carol Sanders, 58, of the same address, complained of pain to her head, arm and leg. Both were taken to Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Blackburn did not report any injuries.
Jasper police are asking that anyone who witnessed the accident call the department at 812-482-2255 or on the anonymous tip line at 812-481-2677 (COPS).
