Jasper police seeking tractor-trailer involved in hit-and-run

The Jasper Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a tractor-trailer that struck a street sign in Jasper Wednesday.

According to police, a tractor with a flatbed trailer hauling concrete panels ran off the road when it turned from Newton Street onto Schuetter Road at about 1:17 p.m. It caused damage to a yard that it went through and hit a city-owned street sign.

The tractor-trailer then continued west on Schuetter Road.
