Jasper police seeking fire hydrant hit-and-run suspect

The Jasper Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit and run on Saturday, September 14, 2019.

An older model blue Chevy Camaro was reported running off the road at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Church Avenue at 4:39 p.m. The vehicle struck a fire hydrant and then left the scene.

Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to contact police at 812-482-2255 or 812-481-2677 (COPS), the anonymous tip line.
