Jasper police seeking clues in sexual battery

The Jasper Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a man involved in the sexual battery of a woman Sunday evening.

Officers responded to the Westwood Apartments complex on Hickory Lane Sunday night at around 10:30 p.m. According to police, a female resident reported that an unknown male entered her unlocked apartment and sexually battered her. The male was described to be in his 20s or 30s, about 5 foot 3 inches tall, short dark hair, thin build, wearing a gray/black striped shirt and cargo shorts.

The male fled from the apartment complex on foot.
