Jasper police investigating knife fight that sent one person to hospital
Jasper — A call for a fight in progress involving a knife ended with one individual at Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries Thursday.
Jasper police are not releasing any names of those involved pending the continued investigation into the incident that occurred in the Germantown Shopping Center parking lot at 36th and Newton streets.
According to authorities, they received a call at 12:35 p.m. about a physical fight in progress at the Germantown parking lot and that one of the subjects was armed with a knife. When police arrived they found one subject injured and he was taken to Memorial Hospital. The other individual involved in the fight had left the scene.
Jasper police were assisted by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services.
