Thieves ripped parts off parked cars in Jasper over the weekend

Jasper — A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever stole catalytic converters from parked vehicles at two Jasper businesses this past weekend.

According to the Jasper Police Department, catalytic converters were cut off trucks parked at Audio World, 710 W. Sixth Street, and Hedinger Beverage, 950 S. St. Charles Street, sometime Saturday or Sunday.

Damages to the trucks is estimated to be about $5,800.

The Community Strike Force is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the crime.
