Jasper Police Department partners with publisher to provide information
The Jasper Police Department is working with a publisher to bring local children and adults up-to-date drug and alcohol information.
L.A.W. Publications creates handout materials to educate children and adults about the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as a variety of safety issues such as identity theft and gang-related violence prevention.
They work with local law enforcement agencies to create the materials. Over the past 30 years, L.A.W. Publications has published drug and safety education materials for more than 15,000 law enforcement agencies throughout the United States. DEA, HUD, schools, hospitals, corporations, churches, and many other entities also use these educational materials.
The company does not charge law enforcement agencies to created the materials for their community but they do seek sponsorship.
The Jasper Police Department wants the community to know an individual with the company will be seeking sponsorships for the materials and will be contacting local businesses. That person will have letter from Jasper Police Chief Mike Bennett.
